BURSA - Tredin Oto Donanım was established in Bursa in 2002 with the partnership of the French company Treves and Diniz Holding; It produces vehicle interior cladding, sound insulation products, interior trim parts, floor and trunk carpets and engine insulation parts for the automotive industry. Stating that it is necessary to adapt to transformation without fear of transformation, Tredin General Manager Ayhan Çalgın shared his work within Tredin with ECONOMY Newspaper Bursa Regional Representative Ömer Faruk Çiftçi. Explaining that they produce for brands such as Jaguar and Dacia in export as well as for all main industries in Turkey, Trendin General Manager Ayhan Çalgın said that they also take part in new projects of the automotive main industry and that they are in a growth trend with the impact of new projects.
Emphasizing that the use of recycled materials is also on the agenda with electric vehicles, Çalgın said, “Although there is a slight decrease in the engine group with electric vehicles, new job opportunities arise with the additional space opened. This brings up parts related to new insulation and sound systems. On the other hand, the extra work done to reduce noise in the vehicle also gives us an advantage. The materials we form, called felt, are recycled pieces from textile waste. Due to our natural process, we use a significant amount of recycled materials. We are planning how to take this further. "In this way, we start with a plus point in border carbon regulation and green transformation issues," he said.
On the other hand, Ayhan Çalgın stated that they aim to reduce the carbon footprint in the transportation of imported products by increasing the domestic supplier network and said, "While we are working to reduce our own energy use, we are also working to meet our energy from renewable sources."
Will grow with new projects
Stating that they have commissioned 5 new projects this year, Çalgın said that they produced important parts such as Togg's floor carpet, fenders and rear trunk curtain, and that they will take part in the production of new parts as well as the existing parts of the new Clio, which will be produced in 2026. He said that they are continuing negotiations for the models they plan to produce in . Stating that they are also conducting research on new factory area investments due to the increase in business volume after 2026, Çalgın noted that they are currently producing in 3 buildings in an area of 22 thousand 500 square meters with 305 employees. Announcing that they created employment that will increase their capacity by 20 percent in the last quarter of the year, Ayhan Çalgın stated that they plan to grow by 25 percent this year. Stating that they have commissioned projects in Turkey by doing their own engineering locally in their R&D unit, Çalgın pointed out that they have plans to bring product development studies to Turkey in the long term.
